1. Routine Inspections

What are Routine Inspections?
Many local code authorities require third party elevator inspections (annually and/or semi-annually) to ensure equipment conforms with applicable code requirements.  NEIS is certified to perform inspections throughout the US and has a thorough understanding of the local requirements in each jurisdiction. With our extensive support staff, we can complete your third party code inspections, processing and filing fees (as applicable) for you.

2. Periodic Inspections/ Test Witnessing

What is Periodic Inspections/Test Witnessing?
Many local code authorities require third party elevator inspectors to witness annual safety tests that are performed by elevator service providers. This ensures tests are performed in accordance with applicable code requirements.

3. Final Acceptance / Test Witnessing

What is Final Acceptance/Test Witnessing?

Many local code authorities require third party elevator inspectors to witness safety tests for newly installed equipment prior to release for general or public use. This ensures the new installation and final tests are performed in accordance with applicable code requirements

4. Third-Party Witnessing Of Periodical Category 1 And Category 5 Elevator Inspections

We schedule with Elevator Maintenance Companies to witness inspections and tests and determine that your existing equipment conforms with the applicable code requirements. We file in a timely manner all required test reports with the DOB

5. Hydraulic Pressure Tests

  • We will test the relief valve setting to determine conformance with the applicable requirements. Qualified Elevator Inspection (QEI)
  • We are qualified to attend inspections and tests outside of the five boroughs of New York City on the behalf of local jurisdictions which recognize the ANSI/ASME QEI-1.
